As part of activities to mark his first anniversary, the Ologere of Ogere, Ogun State, Oba James Obafemi Saliu, has donated a Toyota Sienna bus to the Ogere Police Divisional Headquarters.

This is to boost their anti-crime operations in and around the Ogere community.

Oba Salisu, a renowned philanthropist and accomplished businessman, also donated a well-furnished security building for the joint use and coordination of the activities of other paramilitary outfits in the community.

He had promised the people of the community during his coronation last year that he was going to ensure their security.

The monarch also promised more people-oriented projects in the community

He enjoined all citizens of Ogere to remain law-abiding and support the efforts of the Palace and the security agencies to provide adequate security in the community.

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, Abiodun Alamutu, who received the vehicle on behalf of the Ogere Police Division, thanked the Oba for his magnanimity, promising that it would be put to judicious use.

Alamutu also enjoined other well meaning citizens of the state to emulate the kind gesture of Oba Saliu by supporting the Police Command and other security agencies in the state with the right equipment and useful intelligence to combat crimes.

Indigenes marvelled at the significant achievements the community has made within one year of the Oba’s ascension to the throne and prayed for long life for the monarch.
