Oyebanji appoints Olojudo as traditional council chairman

* Govt lauds traditional rulers for prayers, support, contributions

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the appointment of the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, Ido/Osi Local Government, Oba Ayorinde Ilori Faboro, as the chairman of Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.

This followed the expiration of the two-year tenure of the immediate past chairman, Oba Ayodele Adejuwon, the Onisan of Isan Ekiti.

Oba Faboro’s tenure will run for a two-year period beginning from 1st August, 2023 to 1st August, 2025.

The Deputy Governor, Mrs Monisade Afuye, in a statement on Monday, stated that the state government appreciated the traditional rulers in the state for their prayers, support and immesurable contributions to the uplift of Ekiti in all spheres.

The statement read, “The government congratulates the council members on this feat and pray for a successful tenure for the new leadership.

“The government appreciates the traditional rulers for their solid support for the outgone chairman, while also pleading that similar gesture should be extended to the new one,” it stated.

It stated that the government pledged unalloyed respect for the traditional rulers across the state regardless of classes to build an institution the citizens can all be proud of.
