For the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Joseph Eribo, the visit to Mobaland and the ancient palace of the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, was another moment to relish, a moment that will remain green in his memories.

The police commissioner was in the area to lift the spirit of the men of the security agency and boost their morale in a bid to enhance security of lives and property.

He was treated to the hospitality, tradition and culture of Otun Moba people as cultural groups entertained the visiting police team.

Eribo expressed happiness to visit the Ancient Stool of Otun Moba Ekiti, which has been in existence since the 10th Century.

The police boss, who visited the inner ancient throne called ULE AGBA, where the AGBA Otun hold their sacred meetings for the peace, security and development of Otun community, appreciated the tradition and history of the people.

He thanked the Paramount Ruler of Mobaland, Ekiti State, Oba Adeagbo, for his support to the Nigerian Police and making sure that the security agency is a friend and not an enemy “as long as you abide by the laws of the land”.

Oba Adeagbo, who is the Southwest Coordinator of National Council of Traditional Rulers, appreciated the police boss and his team for the visit to Moba Local Government, describing it as a sign of honour to Moba people worldwide.

The Oore thanked the CP, who is also a legal luminary, for his efforts in Ekiti State “in making sure everywhere is peaceful and calm”.
