By John Odunayo

House of Representatives member (Ekiti North Federal Constituency II), Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, has hinged the prevalent peace in Ekiti State on Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s inclusive government style and performance in office.

Kolawole hailed Oyebanji for the peaceful atmosphere being witnessed in the state even during the ongoing protest in some parts of the country.

The federal lawmaker spoke in a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Sunday.

Kolawole, however, called for more prayers and support for all the country’s leaders in their leadership roles.

The House of Representatives member however, appealed to Nigerians for patience with the Federal Government, as he assured that “the All Progressives Congress government in Nigeria will continue to put in place necessary instrument capable of promoting the people’s wellbeing and country’s development”.

Kolawole said, “The working plans of the APC in Nigeria, if allowed to be fully implemented with patience will bring about the needed development across all nooks and crannies of the country for the benefit of all. For this to materialise requires atmosphere of peace in the country”.

The lawmaker hailed Ekiti people for shunning the protest called by some groups, saying, “This development has again proved to the world that, Ekiti people cherish the developmental efforts of Governor Oyebanji across the state above personal gains.

“Ekiti people’s level of understanding, support and admiration towards the present administration in the state has continued to be overwhelming and encouraging, hence the reason for more performance by the Governor”.

“The governor’s leadership style and performance as a servant and not dictator or ruler has endeared him to Ekiti People irrespective of political or religious affiliations”.

“Governor Oyebanji’s continued consultations with all Ekiti leaders and different youth groups, intimating them on various strides being embarked on to give the state a facelift and create a conducive atmosphere for economic advancement are yielding positive outcomes,” the lawmaker said.

He hailed traditional rulers, religious bodies, transport unions, market men and women, civil service unions and political leaders among others for promoting peace in the state at all times and called for more.

Kolawole said, “The resolve of everyone in Ekiti to join hands with Governor Oyebanji to develop the state will continue to fast-track unprecedented development through economic recovery and reintegration in the state”.
