Rep assures present hardship is precursor to prosperous Nigeria

House of Representatives member, Akinlayo Kolawole, has assured Nigerians that the present economic hardship being experienced by Nigerians will soon become history with present efforts of the Federal Government.

Kolawole, who expressed concern for Nigerians, particularly his constituents over the effect of the economic condition on their wellbeing, assured that the present situation was necessary to reset and save the country.

The National Assembly member representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II (Ido/Osi, Moba and Ilejemeje local governments) spoke during an inspection tour of the Osan Ekiti – Ora, Kwara State boundary road which reconstruction he facilitated as part of his constituency projects.

He said, “The present development is as a result of skyrocketing increase in the prices of goods including food items and drugs cum access to medical system.

“The current hardship being experienced by Nigerians now, though, a needed sacrifice to salvage the country from total doldrums of maladministration of the past, is regrettable.”

Kolawole, who said All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government was taking every necessary step, said, “Let me reassure everyone that government at all levels will leave no stone unturned to put smiles on their faces and restore the lost glory of the country for the benefit of all.

“Nigeria will no doubt be great again especially with the cooperation and support of all and sundry under President Bola Tinubu who has remained focused and determined to develop the Nation despite numerous challenges he met on ground at the inception of his administration”.

He expressed commitment to the National Assembly to support the President on every human-oriented programme to alleviate the sufferings of all Nigerians irrespective of their political or religious affiliations.

The lawmaker said, “The APC-led government at all levels will continue to work hard for Nigerians to make lives more bearable for them at all times. The current hardship being experienced by Nigerians is as a result of maladministration in the past.

“Therefore, to right any wrong situation, there must be sacrifice to be made in order to enjoy the benefits of the outcome of the right situation, as and well due”.

Kolawole said he was committed to the development of Ekiti State especially his constituency through good legislations and contributions at all times and urged people to remain hopeful and continue to have unwavering trust in policies and programmes of the present government in the country.

He, however, commended Nigerians for their support and understanding so far and urged them to continue to rally support the President and other Leaders through prayers to encourage them to perform better.
