Rep, Kolawole, hails Nigerians on 64th independence, Ekiti people on 28th state creation anniversaries

National Assembly member, Akinlayo Kolawole, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 64th Independence anniversary of Nigeria.

Kolawole hailed President Bola Tinubu and other leaders of the country – past and present for their roles in the development and unity of the country.

The House of Representatives member representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, spoke in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday to celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary and the 28th anniversary of the creation of Ekiti State.

Kolawole rejoiced with Ekiti people on the 28th anniversary of the creation of the state.

He lauded Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his inclusive government style, which he said “has ensured economic and political stability in the state”.

The federal lawmaker also celebrated the founding fathers of the state for the roles played in the creation and sustenance of the state.

He, however, called for more selfless service and sacrifices from Nigerian leaders to accelerate the needed rapid development of the country.

Kolawole said that “the country’s development must be the collective agenda of all and sundry irrespective of our political inclination and backgrounds”.

The lawmaker called on all Nigerians “to continue to put Nigeria ahead of other personal agenda in our daily activities”.

He said, “The country, more than ever, needs selflessness, sacrifices and sincerity especially by the leaders and politicians for the country to steadily move forward.

“Celebration of the country’s 64th Independence anniversary calls for sober reflection and at the same time, stock taking to examine where we were in the past and where we are now in order to chart a new course for the future.

“It ıs only through our belief and determination to fast track the development of Nigerian that we can achieve such, hence the need for all hands to be on deck to build a vırıle socıety”.

The lawmaker praısed all past and present Nigerian leaders especially the incumbent President Bola Tinubu for their roles in the development and unity of the country.

He called on Nigerians to continue to pray for their leaders to lead alright.

The federal lawmaker also praised the religious leaders across the country for their fervent prayers for the unity and progress of the country as he urged them not to relent.
