By John Odunayo

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students Engagements, Hon, (Comr.) Sunday Asefon, has advised Nigerian students to make judicious use of the education loan fund scheme.

Asefon told students, “Education is the bedrock of development in any serious country and of course we must passionately guide the interest of making sure no student irrespective of his or her poor background be denied of quality education which is the passport to a greater future of oneself and the advancement of our country”.

Recall that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund Board led by Dr Akintunde Sawyerr has officially launched the app for the Students Loan Scheme.

Asefon said, “It is on this note that I admonish Nigerian students to make judicious use of the opening of the Students Loan Scheme App, now officially launched by registering and submitting their applications.

“I must also sincerely commend and appreciate the Nigerian students and youth friendly President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for keeping to yet another one of his campaign promises by approving and making available this students loan scheme.

“This scheme is of high essence. It will relieve vulnerable students the burdens of their school fees payments and enable them to have easy access to funding. It is indeed a paradigm shift in our education sector. All kudos to Mr President”.

The presidential aide told students,
“Please note that the application is fully automated, which implies you do not need to meet anyone throughout the application process.
